It was proved that the curcumin can reduce brain inflammation linked to Alzheimer’s disease and major depression. A research was done by Gary Small, director of geriatric psychiatry at UCLA’s Longevity Center for people aged between 50 and 90 years with mild memory complaints. Those people were given by 90mg of curcumin twice daily for 18 months and noticed with the improvements in memory. It had proved that the memory and mood were improved for the people. The memory and emotional functions are managed in the two brain regions such as amygdala and hypothalamus. We should know the beneficial effects of turmeric which we are using in our daily lifestyle activities and should use it to boost our healthy life.
